The Directors of the CBA are Professional Basketball Coaches/Educators. Coaches Whitham, Pina, and Stapleton have more than 60 years of basketball coaching experience. They have coached at all levels, Junior High, Freshmen, Junior Varsity, Varsity, and College. Combined they have coached, recruited, evaluated, scouted, and competed against more than 60,000 players, while having coached more than 700 college players. There is no other program that can offer that level of PROFESSIONAL experience.
We are unique in the field of off-season basketball as our CBA-BPE Heat is the only AAU program directed by Current Head College Coaches, the Basketball Players Edge program is the longest running, and original, skill development program in New England, and our Shot Court program is singular with its ISP.

Coach Whitham - was a starting PG while competing collegiately. Dan has been a Head Coach at the High School Varsity and College level. While coaching the Massaoit Women he was voted by the coaches the WBCA Regional Coach of the Year. Coach Whitham is a Professional Educator
Coach Pina - was a Point Guard on a State Tournament team while at Taunton HS, and played collegiately at Bates College. He has held positions at the High School JV and Varsity level as well as a College Assistant. Currently the Women's Head Coach at Massasoit Community College, Sal was named the NJCAA Region 21 Coach of the Year.
Coach Stapleton - was a 1,000 point scorer while at Norwood HS, and a 1,000 point scorer while competing collegiately at Curry College. Jim has been a High School JV and Varsity Coach, and is a State Championship Coach. Currently the Men's Head Coach at Massasoit Community College, he has won numerous Community College State Championships. Coach Stapleton is a Professional Educator.
